Day 17 #cdflessonsfromyoga: Bridge Pose|Setu Bandha Sarvangasana
Today’s lesson is about living with your heart wide open. Doing this requires risk and vulnerability. It requires you to constantly forgive, to pursue wholeness (however that looks), it requires you to let go of things that no longer serve you, and it requires you to not have to have it all figured out. Be willing. Be open. Be brave. Be teachable. Embrace change. Give in. Let go. Look for the good in every situation. Believe it’s there.
Living with your heart wide open WILL mean you experience some deep pain. It also means you will experience ALL the love. The deep deep love. You can close down your heart and you may save yourself from “some” pain, yes. But in the end you will find that you miss out. We aren’t supposed to block pain from happening–realistically we can’t, even if we try. We need to feel everything. Process it. Let it teach us. We can however, by trying to avoid pain, block love and joy with it. That is ultimately the biggest regret…
Ive been living this out for over a year. I’ve done both. Living with your heart wide open is painful at times. But it’s also the most freeing. #openheart
